Since 1983, Gneuß has been developing and manufacturing plants for the processing and recycling of plastics — family-owned, headquartered in Bad Oeynhausen, with over 100 patents. Development and production stay in Germany; sales happen worldwide: through a subsidiary in the USA, branches in Brazil and China, a partner in Japan and an international sales and service network. It is exactly this structure that places demands on sales which shared file folders cannot meet.

Technically demanding plants are sold with documents that explain them: data sheets, presentations, product information. Anyone selling worldwide needs them in many languages and at the same revision everywhere. As soon as those documents are maintained in several places, rework follows: translations drift apart, local copies age, and the version on the table in a customer meeting is not necessarily the current one.

So the brief was clearly defined: central control. A single source that every market draws from, from the German headquarters to the partner in Japan.

We built a unified system in which all sales documents are maintained and distributed centrally. What it holds is what applies, in every market and every language version. Maintenance moves to where the knowledge sits, and sales everywhere works from the same revision. That is what custom software development looks like with us: a system that mirrors the process instead of complicating it.

Even where there is no connection.

Selling worldwide inevitably leads to places without a reliable internet connection: production sites in rural regions, plant visits, long journeys. For those situations we also built a desktop application. It pulls its data from the online platform automatically and keeps the full set of documents locally. A conversation on site stays at the same level as one in the meeting room in Bad Oeynhausen.
